An assignment is a legal form that gives Judgment Recovery Associates ownership and the legal right to pursue payment of the court awarded judgment.
How much is it?
There are no out of pocket expenses to you except a notary fee. Most banks waive the notary fee for customers. The expenses incurred in the collection of the judgment are fronted by Judgment Recovery Associates and subtracted from the proceeds collected.
How does Judgment Recovery Associates get paid?
The percentage Judgment Recovery Associates retains is determined by our written agreement. Every effort will be made to collect the entire judgment, expenses and interest due on the judgment. You will receive the balance of what is paid to Judgment Recovery Associates less the expenses and the portion due Judgment Recovery Associates.
How long does it take?
The length of time varies. Some judgments take more time than others due to the difficulty of locating the debtor (the person who was supposed to pay you) and his/her assets.
