How does Judgment Recovery Associates enforce the court award?
First, we sign a written contract stating the terms of our agreement with you. Second, you transfer the judgment to Judgment Recovery Associates by completing a simple form and having it notarized. Lastly, you provide any information you have about the current or past whereabouts of the judgment debtor. Your work is done.
Judgment Recovery Associates will then file the proper papers with the court. After the papers are filed, the search for the Judgment debtor and any assets he/she may have. After the debtor is found he/she is given an opportunity to pay the debt as ordered by the court plus any interest due. If he/she does not remit the money, JRA will begin legal methods of collecting this money.
When the judgment is satisfied the monies (less the expenses and the agreed upon payment to JRA) will be forwarded to you within 90 days of collection.
Sometimes a judgment can be collected easily and sometimes it can’t. Judgment Recovery Associates will move to collect this money as soon as possible. Remember, we do not get paid until your judgment is collected.
